สาระสำคัญ: ภาพจากกล้องได้รับการประมวลผลภายในเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้เท่านั้น โดยไม่มีการบันทึกหรือส่งออกไปยังที่ใด ข้อมูลที่ส่งผ่านอินเทอร์เน็ตมีเพียงข้อมูลบัญชีผู้ใช้ที่จำเป็นต่อการตรวจสอบสิทธิ์สมาชิก และจะเกิดขึ้นเฉพาะเมื่อผู้ใช้เลือกเข้าสู่ระบบเท่านั้น

นโยบายความเป็นส่วนตัวฉบับนี้อธิบายการเก็บรวบรวม การใช้ และการเปิดเผยข้อมูลของผลิตภัณฑ์ต่อไปนี้ ซึ่งพัฒนาโดย Saantie นักพัฒนาอิสระ (“ผู้พัฒนา”)

1. ข้อมูลที่ประมวลผลภายในเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้เท่านั้น

ภาพจากกล้อง โปรแกรมใช้ภาพจากกล้องเพื่อระบุตำแหน่งดวงตาและไหล่ และประเมินท่านั่งแบบเรียลไทม์ ภาพแต่ละเฟรมจะถูกลบทิ้งทันทีหลังการประมวลผล โปรแกรมไม่บันทึกภาพนิ่งหรือวิดีโอลงในไฟล์ และไม่ส่งภาพไปยังเซิร์ฟเวอร์ใด

3. แอปพลิเคชัน 8Hrs Companion

หากผู้ใช้จับคู่สมาร์ทโฟนกับโปรแกรมโดยสแกนคิวอาร์โค้ดที่แสดงในโปรแกรม เครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้จะส่งการแจ้งเตือน ข้อมูลรายงานท่านั่ง ชื่อที่แสดง และสถานะบัญชีผู้ใช้ ไปยังสมาร์ทโฟนโดยตรงผ่านเครือข่าย Wi-Fi ภายใน ด้วยการเชื่อมต่อที่เข้ารหัส ข้อมูลดังกล่าวไม่ผ่านเซิร์ฟเวอร์ของผู้พัฒนาหรือบุคคลภายนอก และไม่มีการส่งภาพจากกล้องของเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ไปยังสมาร์ทโฟน

แอปพลิเคชันใช้กล้องของสมาร์ทโฟนเพื่อสแกนคิวอาร์โค้ดสำหรับการจับคู่เท่านั้น โดยประมวลผลภายในสมาร์ทโฟน แอปพลิเคชันจัดเก็บข้อมูลการจับคู่ในรูปแบบที่เข้ารหัส รวมถึงประวัติการแจ้งเตือนและสำเนารายงานที่ผู้ใช้เคยเปิดดู เพื่อให้สามารถดูได้ขณะไม่ได้เชื่อมต่อ ผู้ใช้สามารถยุติการส่งข้อมูลได้โดยยกเลิกการจับคู่ในแอปพลิเคชัน หรือถอนการติดตั้งแอปพลิเคชัน

4. การชำระเงิน

การชำระเงินดำเนินการนอกโปรแกรม โปรแกรมไม่เก็บรวบรวมและไม่ประมวลผลข้อมูลบัตรเครดิต บัตรเดบิต หรือบัญชีธนาคารของผู้ใช้ โดยมีช่องทางการชำระเงินดังนี้

พร้อมเพย์ (ภายในประเทศไทย) — ผู้ใช้โอนเงินถึงผู้พัฒนาโดยตรงและแจ้งอีเมลที่ใช้เข้าสู่ระบบโปรแกรม ผู้พัฒนาจะดำเนินการเปิดใช้สิทธิ์สมาชิกหลังตรวจสอบยอดเงิน
บัตรเครดิต บัตรเดบิต หรือ PayPal ผ่าน Lemon Squeezy — Lemon Squeezy ทำหน้าที่เป็นผู้ขายและผู้รับชำระเงิน (merchant of record) และประมวลผลข้อมูลการชำระเงินตามนโยบายความเป็นส่วนตัวของ Lemon Squeezy ลิงก์สำหรับชำระเงินจะแนบรหัสบัญชีผู้ใช้ไว้ เพื่อให้ระบบเปิดใช้สิทธิ์สมาชิกได้โดยอัตโนมัติ ผู้พัฒนาได้รับเฉพาะข้อมูลคำสั่งซื้อที่จำเป็นต่อการเปิดใช้สิทธิ์ เช่น อีเมล แพ็กเกจที่ซื้อ และสถานะการชำระเงิน โดยไม่ได้รับหมายเลขบัตรเครดิตหรือบัตรเดบิต

5. การจัดเก็บข้อมูลการเข้าสู่ระบบ

ข้อมูลสำหรับการเข้าสู่ระบบอัตโนมัติจัดเก็บบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ของผู้ใช้ และเข้ารหัสด้วยระบบ DPAPI ของ Windows ซึ่งผูกกุญแจเข้ารหัสไว้กับบัญชีผู้ใช้ Windows หากมีการคัดลอกไฟล์ดังกล่าวไปยังคอมพิวเตอร์เครื่องอื่น จะไม่สามารถนำไปใช้งานได้ โปรแกรมไม่บันทึกรหัสผ่านของผู้ใช้ลงในไฟล์ใด

6. การแจ้งปัญหาการใช้งาน

เมื่อผู้ใช้เลือกเมนู “แจ้งปัญหาการใช้งาน” โปรแกรมจะสร้างร่างอีเมลในโปรแกรมอีเมลของผู้ใช้หรือใน Gmail พร้อมข้อมูลประกอบ ได้แก่ เวอร์ชันของโปรแกรม เวอร์ชันของ Windows อีเมลของบัญชีผู้ใช้ และชื่อกล้องที่ใช้ อีเมลดังกล่าวจะไม่ถูกส่งจนกว่าผู้ใช้จะตรวจสอบและกดส่งด้วยตนเอง

7. สิทธิ์ของผู้ใช้

ใช้งานโดยไม่เข้าสู่ระบบ — โปรแกรมสามารถตรวจจับท่านั่งได้โดยไม่ต้องมีบัญชีผู้ใช้
ขอลบบัญชีและข้อมูล — ติดต่อผู้พัฒนาตามช่องทางด้านล่าง ผู้พัฒนาจะลบบัญชีและข้อมูลสมาชิกของผู้ใช้ออกจาก Firebase
ยกเลิกสิทธิ์การเข้าถึงกล้อง — ได้ทุกเมื่อที่ Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Camera
ลบข้อมูลบนเครื่องคอมพิวเตอร์ — ลบโฟลเดอร์ %LOCALAPPDATA%\PostureMonitor หรือถอนการติดตั้งโปรแกรม

8. ผู้ใช้ที่เป็นเด็ก

โปรแกรมและแอปพลิเคชันไม่ได้ออกแบบมาสำหรับเด็กอายุต่ำกว่า 13 ปี และผู้พัฒนาไม่มีเจตนาเก็บรวบรวมข้อมูลจากเด็ก

9. ซอฟต์แวร์โอเพนซอร์สที่ใช้ในโปรแกรม

โปรแกรมพัฒนาขึ้นโดยใช้ซอฟต์แวร์โอเพนซอร์สหลายรายการ เช่น MediaPipe ของ Google สำหรับการตรวจจับท่าทาง และ OpenCV สำหรับการเชื่อมต่อกล้อง โดยใช้งานตามเงื่อนไขสัญญาอนุญาตของแต่ละรายการ

ในจำนวนนี้ pystray ซึ่งเป็นส่วนประกอบที่แสดงไอคอนของโปรแกรมในถาดระบบ อยู่ภายใต้สัญญาอนุญาต GNU LGPL เวอร์ชัน 3 ซึ่งให้สิทธิ์ผู้ใช้แก้ไขหรือเปลี่ยนส่วนประกอบนี้เป็นรุ่นอื่นได้ด้วยตนเอง ผู้พัฒนาจึงแจกจ่ายซอร์สโค้ดของ pystray เป็นไฟล์แยกพร้อมกับโปรแกรม ผู้ใช้สามารถตรวจสอบได้ที่โฟลเดอร์ติดตั้งโปรแกรม ในโฟลเดอร์ย่อย _internal\pystray และอ่านสัญญาอนุญาตฉบับเต็มได้ที่ _internal\pystray-0.19.5.dist-info\COPYING.LGPL

10. การเปลี่ยนแปลงนโยบาย

หากมีการแก้ไขนโยบายฉบับนี้ ผู้พัฒนาจะปรับปรุงวันที่ด้านบนของหน้านี้ และจะแจ้งในโปรแกรมด้วยหากการเปลี่ยนแปลงนั้นมีผลต่อข้อมูลของผู้ใช้อย่างมีนัยสำคัญ

At a glance: Camera images are processed only on your computer — they are never saved or transmitted. The only information sent over the internet is the account data needed to verify a Pro membership, and only if you choose to sign in.

This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used and when it is shared by the following products, developed by Saantie, an independent developer (“we”):

8Hrs Posture Monitor — a desktop application for Windows (“the app”)
8Hrs Companion — a companion application for Android smartphones (“the companion app”)

1. Information that stays on your computer

Camera images. Each frame is analysed in real time to locate your eyes and shoulders and assess your posture, then discarded immediately. Images and video are never written to disk or sent to any server.
Daily posture statistics — how long you spent at each posture level and how many reminders you received — are kept in a local database at %LOCALAPPDATA%\PostureMonitor\posture_history.db.
App settings, such as your posture calibration, chosen camera and display name, are also stored locally.

You can remove all of the above by deleting the %LOCALAPPDATA%\PostureMonitor folder or uninstalling the app. If you installed the app from the Microsoft Store, this data is removed automatically when you uninstall it.

2. Information sent when you sign in

Signing in is optional. Without an account the app still detects your posture, and none of your information leaves your computer; alert sounds, status messages and account features require a free account. When you sign in, the app sends the following:

If you sign in with Google, you do so on Google's own sign-in page, so the app never receives your Google password.

The app does not send camera images, posture statistics or usage data to us or to anyone else, and it contains no advertising or behavioural tracking.

3. 8Hrs Companion

If you pair a phone by scanning the QR code shown in the app, your computer sends reminders, posture report data, your display name and your account status directly to that phone over your local Wi-Fi network, using an encrypted connection. This data never passes through our servers or any third party, and images from your computer's camera are never sent to the phone.

The companion app uses your phone's camera only to scan the pairing QR code, and does so on the phone itself. It stores your pairing details in encrypted form, together with your alert history and copies of reports you have opened so they remain available offline. To stop sharing, unpair the phone in the companion app or uninstall it.

4. Payments

Payments take place outside the app. The app never collects or processes credit card, debit card or bank account details. Two payment methods are available:

PromptPay (Thailand) — you transfer the payment to us directly and tell us the email address you use in the app. We activate Pro once the payment has been confirmed.
Credit card, debit card or PayPal through Lemon Squeezy — Lemon Squeezy acts as the seller and payment processor (merchant of record) and handles your payment information under its own privacy policy. The checkout link carries your account ID so that Pro can be activated automatically. We receive only the order details needed for activation, such as your email address, the plan purchased and the payment status — never your card number.

5. How sign-in data is stored

The token used to sign you in automatically is stored on your computer and encrypted with Windows DPAPI, which ties the encryption key to your Windows account. A copy of the file taken to another computer cannot be used. Your password is never written to any file.

6. Problem reports

When you choose “Report a problem”, the app drafts an email in your mail app or in Gmail, pre-filled with supporting details: the app version, your Windows version, your account email and the name of your camera. Nothing is sent until you have reviewed the email and sent it yourself.

7. Your choices and rights

Use the app without an account — posture detection works without signing in.
Delete your account and data — contact us using the details below and we will delete your account and membership records from Firebase.
Revoke camera access at any time in Windows Settings > Privacy & security > Camera.
Delete local data by removing the %LOCALAPPDATA%\PostureMonitor folder or uninstalling the app.
Disconnect your phone by unpairing it in 8Hrs Companion or uninstalling 8Hrs Companion.

8. Children

Neither 8Hrs Posture Monitor nor 8Hrs Companion is intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Open-source software

The app is built on several open-source components, including Google's MediaPipe for pose detection and OpenCV for camera access, each used in accordance with its licence.

One of these, pystray — which places the app's icon in the system tray — is licensed under the GNU LGPL version 3. That licence gives you the right to modify the component or replace it with another version. For this reason we distribute its source code as separate files alongside the app. You will find it in the installation folder under _internal\pystray, with the full licence text at _internal\pystray-0.19.5.dist-info\COPYING.LGPL.

10. Changes to this policy

If we revise this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Changes that materially affect your information will also be announced in the app.
